Design and experiment of flexible clamping device for pepper plug seedlings

At present, there are leakage and injury of pepper seedlings in the process seedling transplantation. Based on mechanical properties stem, a clamping mechanism with function crab pincers is designed using bionics principle. The uses CAM device to drive gear rack meshing. control gripper’s opening closing stroke 2–30 mm. 1.94 mm, obviously save time. In order achieve flexible reduce injury, elastic silicone, rubber, nylon materials were used as materials. finite element analysis was carried out simulate force process, stress silicone gripper found be minimum, range 1.53 × 10 −4 –1.42 MPa. results damage test picking migration showed that rate 3.28%. degree lowest, which consistent theoretical analysis. 5.86%. success 94.14%, 83.20%. It proved this study had reliable working performance good transplanting effect.
